This is my final piece for the 3D project. The purpose of this project was to create a 3D illustration based upon a film that was given to us. I was given the 1942 film called “The Mad Monster”.
I created a clay head that looks like the scientist from “The Mad Monster” he was the real monster in the film controlling everyone’s actions to serve his own ambitions. Due to the scientist being in control I made him the biggest focus within my 3D illustration, and I added a wolf and a man above his head to represent the way he mixed to blood of wolf with a man to create his own monster that he used to exact revenge on those who doubted him.
I used coloured plastic to created coloured lighting effects, these colours really helped to bring my composition to life. The colours within my 3D illustration were chosen to reflect the vibrant posters that were originally used to promote “The Mad Monster” when it was released.
Additionally I used lighting to create my title both at the back of the image behind the scientists head and to create the work monster to the side of his head. One of my favourite pieces within this image is the shadow of the scientist that looms over the whole composition.
